Professor Corey is deeply passionate about teaching. Her decision to take up a position at a comprehensive university after completing her Ph.D. clearly shows that she is not someone who desires to isolate herself in an ivory tower, seeking great personal achievements in research. Instead, she has committed to making teaching and service her primary missions as an educator. She dedicates over 90% of her time and energy to teaching and service, while maintaining a keen awareness of the constantly evolving dynamics of the classroom. Most of her research is also related to education. Upon realizing the scarcity of scientific research on educational reform, she actively applied her passion for teaching, alongside her expertise in psychology and science, to conduct experiments in her own classrooms. Through these data-driven observations, she hopes to better understand the impact of different teaching methods on student learning. After reading Professor Corey's full interview, one cannot help but feel deep admiration for her dedication to education and her unwavering commitment to improving student learning.
