2015 諾貝爾物理學獎是關於微中子的研究，頒給梶田隆章 (Takaaki Kajita) 與阿瑟‧麥克唐納 (Arthur B. McDonald)，得獎理由是他們發現微中子震盪，證明了微中子具有質量。

但是！微中子到底是什麼東東？【百秒說科學】來告訴你！

微中子系列共有九支影片：

第零集以生動活潑的動畫展開序幕，向觀眾介紹「微中子」這個奇妙的基本粒子， 第一集到第八集隆重邀請到臺大梁次震中心主任－陳丕燊教授來為你揭開微中子神秘面紗！其中還有梶田隆章教授來臺灣演講抽空讓 CASE 採訪的一些背後小秘辛！

【百秒說科學】 微中子系列第六集 – 如何偵測微中子？

第六集陳丕燊教授非常詳盡的介紹了偵測微中子的方法，微中子打到冰層，走過很長的距離­後，還是會跟密度較水高的冰的水分子產生反應，碰撞產生很多正負電子對，這些高能的正­負電子對繼續往前衝不斷跟冰的原子核產生反應，分成很多、很多對的正負電子對產生簇射 (shower)，因正子較容易與其他粒子對撞消耗成能量，產生正負電荷不對稱的電流­，這樣接近光速的帶電電流會產生契忍可夫輻射 (Cherenkov radiation)，這訊號很短、頻寬很寬即可被偵測到。

【百秒說科學】 微中子系列第八集 – 對微中子未來研究的展望

第八集陳丕燊教授談到微中子鬼魅般的特性是很奇怪的，微中子還有太多我們還不知道的事­情，包含為什麼在弱作用裡有些反應是不守恆？它的背後真正的物理在哪裡？以及宇宙的微­中子背景到現在還沒有發現，知道應該要在那裡，但是太弱了沒有找到。

有太多可以研究拓展我們的知識，像量子力學或者相對論一百年前發現的時候，也沒有人知­道將來會變成手機或者是 GPS 導航系統，所以未來有甚麼應用很難說，但是微中子的前景看好。
