「關於過氧化氫中氧的氧化數：過氧化氫結構式為 ＨＯＯＨ，比較氫和氧的電負度，氧的電負度比氫大，故氫為+1；兩個氧相鄰，故無電負度差。
因此，對氧而言氧化數為-1+0=-1。

氫氧自由基中，同理氫的氧化數+1，氧為-1。」
